Packaging Operative

Join Our Growing Team at Hereford Contract Canning

Are you an experienced manufacturing or production operator looking for your next challenge? Would you like to develop your skills in the exciting world of beverage production, working with some of the UK's leading drinks brands?

At Hereford Contract Canning, we're a fast-growing and ambitious contract canning business. Due to continued investment, business growth and the addition of new customers, we're expanding our Manufacturing Department and are looking for Multi-Skilled Packaging Operatives to join our new shift team.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a modern manufacturing environment where safety, quality and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Shift Pattern

You'll work a Panama Continental Shift Pattern, consisting of 12-hour rotating day and night shifts:

06:00 – 18:00
18:00 – 06:00

What You'll Be Doing

As a Packaging Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our production lines operate safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Your responsibilities will include:

Safely operating a range of packaging machinery and production equipment.
Completing product and can-size changeovers in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Carrying out Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes on tanks and product pipework.
Performing routine operational maintenance and supporting equipment reliability.
Conducting quality checks to ensure products meet food safety and customer specifications.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and workplace safety.
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing department.
Operating counterbalance forklift trucks to move raw materials and finished goods where required.

Experienced within a manufacturing, production or packaging environment.
Reliable, motivated and able to work with accuracy and attention to detail.

Flexible and adaptable to changing production requirements.
Strong communicators with a proactive attitude.
Keen to learn new skills and develop within a growing business.

A valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence is desirable but not essential.
