Overview

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in carpentry to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess excellent management skills, supervising experience, and proficiency in Primavera P6. This role offers an opportunity to lead diverse teams, coordinate project activities, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality construction works. The position is paid and suitable for professionals committed to maintaining safety standards and operational excellence on-site.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Supervise on-site teams, including subcontractors and labour personnel, providing clear direction and support.
Coordinate project schedules using Primavera P6 to optimise workflow and resource allocation.
Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Monitor progress and report on project milestones to senior management.
Collaborate with clients, architects, and suppliers to facilitate smooth communication and project delivery.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work meets specifications and safety standards.
Manage procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project execution.
Resolve on-site issues promptly, making informed decisions to minimise delays.

Requirements

Proven experience in managing construction sites with a strong emphasis on carpentry projects.
Supervising experience in a construction environment is essential.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 or similar project management software.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and supervise teams.
Good understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
Relevant qualifications in construction management or related fields are preferred.
Ability to communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders at all levels of the project lifecycle.
