Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care to individuals in both care home and home care settings. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your ability to communicate effectively and follow care plans will be essential in delivering personalised support that meets the unique needs of each individual.

Looking for care assistants to work 2 or 3 shifts over a 7 day period. Overtime available.

Shifts available:

08:00am - 20:00pm.

20:00pm - 08:00am.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Support clients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Help with meal preparation and feeding as required, promoting healthy eating habits.
Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
Participate in the development and implementation of individual care plans tailored to each client's needs.
Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and companionship.

Requirements

Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and managing care plans is advantageous.
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for this role.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

You will also be required to undertake reference checks and a Disclosure and Barring Service Check prior to being offered a position of employment.
