Full job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced socal housing Administrator to join our social housing repairs team based in Romford. This is a fast-paced role supporting the day-to-day operation of responsive repairs and maintenance contracts, requiring excellent organisational skills, strong communication, and previous experience within social housing or property maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to the repairs and maintenance team.
Answer incoming telephone calls professionally and confidently, dealing with residents, clients, and contractors.
Log repair requests and update internal systems accurately.
Schedule appointments and coordinate diaries for operatives and supervisors.
Liaise with tenants, housing officers, subcontractors, and clients to provide updates on repair progress.
Raise purchase orders, process paperwork, and maintain accurate records.
Monitor emails and respond to enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Ensure all documentation is completed and filed correctly in line with company procedures.
Support the team with general office administration and ad hoc duties as required.
Maintain excellent customer service while working to KPIs and service level agreements.

Requirements

MUST HAVE Previous administration experience within social housing, property maintenance, or repairs.
Confident and professional telephone manner with excellent customer service skills.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Experience using repairs or housing management systems is desirable.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
