Full job description

Role Overview

We’re looking for a confident, motivated Lettings Negotiator to join our Derby City Centre team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can balance office‑based tasks with property appointments. You’ll be responsible for driving lettings activity, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth journey for applicants and landlords from enquiry to move‑in.

Hours of Work

40 hours per week, worked Monday to Friday
1 in every 2 Saturdays on a rota

Salary

£26,500 per annum

Key Responsibilities

Managing applicant enquiries — responding promptly and professionally
Booking and conducting viewings — showcasing properties and securing applications
Negotiating lets — agreeing terms between landlords and tenants
Progressing applications — referencing, compliance checks, and move‑in coordination
Maintaining accurate records — updating CRM systems and documentation
Building strong client relationships — ensuring landlords receive clear, timely updates
Supporting the wider lettings team — contributing to smooth daily operations

What We’re Looking For

Confident communicator with a friendly, professional manner
Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy diary
Comfortable working both in the office and out at appointments
Ability to negotiate and handle client conversations effectively
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Previous lettings or property experience beneficial but not essential
CAR and DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL
