Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Chef de Partie to join our professional kitchen team, within our care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and supporting the overall culinary operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cooking and experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment to develop their skills further.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with the menu specifications and quality standards
Assist in the organisation of kitchen operations during service periods
Ensure all food preparation meets safety and hygiene regulations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
Support junior kitchen staff as needed, providing guidance on food preparation techniques
Contribute to menu development ideas based on current culinary trends and customer preferences

Requirements

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar culinary role within a restaurant setting
Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards
Excellent skills in meal preparation and presentation
Previous experience working in a busy kitchen environment is desirable
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are advantageous but not essential
