Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, exceptional organisational skills, and a proven track record in management within retail or sales environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive business growth, manage a diverse team, and ensure the delivery of outstanding customer service. The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives, managing staff, and maintaining operational excellence across all departments.

Responsibilities

Lead, motivate, and supervise teams to achieve organisational goals and maintain high standards of performance.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Manage merchandising activities to optimise product presentation and maximise sales opportunities.
Foster a positive work environment through excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, and organisational leadership.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders to support business growth.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all operational areas.
Organise promotional events or campaigns to enhance brand visibility within the community.

Qualifications

Proven management experience, ideally within retail or sales management sectors.
Supervising experience with a demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams effectively.
Strong leadership qualities with excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Organisational skills with proficiency in administrative tasks such as reporting and record keeping.
Experience in merchandising, sales management, and team management strategies.
Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
Demonstrated ability to develop strategic plans that align with organisational objectives.
Knowledge of retail operations, customer service standards, and organisational policies.
Experience in the timber industry is essential
