Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker to join our skilled team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bespoke furniture fabrication and assembly, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship. This role offers an opportunity to work on high-quality projects, utilising advanced carpentry skills and a variety of hand and power tools. The successful applicant will contribute to creating customised cabinetry solutions that meet precise specifications and client expectations.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble bespoke cabinets, furniture, and specialised woodwork according to detailed plans and specifications
Operate a range of hand tools, power tools, and joinery equipment safely and efficiently
Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood components with precision
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and design layouts to ensure accurate construction
Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to maintain high standards
Collaborate with project managers and clients to ensure timely delivery of customised pieces
Assist with site installation when required, ensuring secure fitting and finishing touches are completed to a professional standard
Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Skills

Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, and joinery within a carpentry or cabinet-making environment
Proficiency in using hand tools such as chisels, saws, planes, and clamps
Skilled in operating power tools including drills, routers, sanders, and saws
Strong understanding of carpentry principles, joinery techniques, and wood properties
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large or heavy materials
Excellent attention to detail coupled with organisational skills
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
Driving licence/own transport essential
