Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Kitchen Assistant/Porter to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this vital role, you will support the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create an exceptional experience for everyone who walks through our doors. Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and basic cooking under supervision
Support the kitchen team by maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and equipment to meet health and safety standards
Help with the organization and storage of supplies, ingredients, and kitchenware
Ensure the dining area is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times
Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner
Support with dishwashing duties and waste disposal to uphold hygiene standards
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service delivery during busy periods

Skills

Experience in food preparation or cooking within a restaurant or hospitality environment
Knowledge of kitchen safety procedures and hygiene standards
Strong understanding of hospitality principles, including serving guests professionally
Previous hotel or culinary experience is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards guest service
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a lively kitchen setting
