Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fence Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing a variety of fencing types, ensuring safety, precision, and quality workmanship. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction-related trades to develop their skills further within a professional environment. The position involves working on-site, often outdoors, and requires physical stamina and attention to detail. All roles are paid positions, including internships.

Duties

Measure and mark fencing layouts according to plans and specifications
Prepare the ground by clearing debris, digging post holes, and ensuring level surfaces
Install fence posts, panels, gates, and accessories using hand tools and power tools
Ensure fences are straight, secure, and meet safety standards
Operate machinery such as post drivers or augers as needed
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to health and safety regulations throughout all tasks

Experience

Previous experience in carpentry, roofing, construction painting, plumbing, masonry, welding or electrical work is advantageous but not essential
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in construction or fencing installation
Knowledge of fabrication techniques relevant to fencing materials is desirable
Ability to read technical drawings or plans is beneficial
Physical fitness to handle manual labour tasks such as digging, lifting heavy materials, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail are essential for precise installation and quality assurance

This role offers an excellent platform for those looking to expand their skills within the construction trades while contributing to high-quality fencing projects. Drivers License required.

Pay: £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
