Are you passionate about delivering high-quality support services? West Berkshire Council is seeking a dedicated and organised Business Support Administrator to join our Social Work Academy within Children’s Services.

Role and Responsibilities

To provide efficient, high quality administrative support to the Social Work Academy, supporting learning and development activity across Children’s Services. The role supports the planning and coordination of learning programmes, acts as a central point of contact for key stakeholders, and contributes to workforce development, statutory compliance and continuous improvement through accurate record keeping, clear communication and effective coordination.

As a Business Support Administrator, you will be responsible for:

Delivering high-quality administrative and business support to ensure the smooth operation of the Social Work Academy.
Processing requests, maintaining accurate records, and managing information.
Collaborating with colleagues to provide effective support in areas such as data entry, correspondence, and scheduling.
Contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service through proactive administration.

Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
Ability to confidently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc).
Experience in providing administrative support within a similar environment would be advantageous.

Please note this role is fixed term for two years after start date – Funding limited project
