Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, as well as the ability to navigate various routes while adhering to safety regulations.

Duties

Safely operate a delivery vehicle, ensuring the safe transport of goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, performing heavy lifting as required.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Assist in warehouse duties when not on delivery routes, including inventory management and stock organisation.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable.
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving larger vehicles (e.g., vans or lorries) is advantageous.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers and team members effectively.
Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
