Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Kitchen Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in cooking within a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to utilise and develop culinary skills while contributing to the delivery of high-quality meals. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes that meet our standards of excellence, ensuring a memorable dining experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery during busy service periods
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all aspects of kitchen operations
Organise ingredients and kitchen equipment efficiently to optimise workflow
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service
Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for replenishment to management
Ensure cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen appliances at all times
Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including food handling procedures

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Experience in restaurant or catering environments is highly desirable
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including weekends and evenings if necessary
