Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide personalised care to individuals with complex health needs, supporting their daily activities and promoting their well-being. This role involves working closely with healthcare professionals and families to deliver high-quality, person-centred care in a variety of settings. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring specialised support.

Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and mobility, tailored to individual care plans
Support patients with medication management and administration as prescribed by healthcare professionals
Assist with nutritional needs, including meal preparation and feeding where necessary
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care delivery
Monitor and report any changes in patient condition promptly to relevant healthcare staff
Uphold infection control standards and ensure a safe environment at all times
Utilise IT systems for recording patient information and updating care records efficiently

Qualifications

Previous experience or knowledge of nursing or caring for individuals with complex health needs is desirable
Ability to develop and follow personalised care plans effectively
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism in all interactions
Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritise appropriately
Compassionate nature with a genuine commitment to providing high-quality person-centred care
Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
