Role: Community Host

Location: East Parade, Leeds

Hours: Full-time [32-40 hours per week]

As a Community Host at Avenue HQ, you'll play a key role in the daily running of our site and the overall experience of our members. You'll be the welcoming face at our front desk, support meetings and events, help keep our space looking its best, and contribute to a vibrant, professional environment for our business community.

This is a varied, hands-on role that changes day-to-day based on what's happening in the space. You’ll help deliver exceptional customer service, support operations, and assist with the behind-the-scenes tasks that make everything run smoothly, from room setups and event support to office admin and general cleaning tasks - there really is no job too big or small for you to tackle.

If you're reliable, proactive, and come from a hospitality, service, or office background, we'd love to hear from you. Full training is provided, but your drive and attitude are what will make you stand out.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with event organisers and on-site teams to manage timings, handle unexpected changes professionally, and deliver an excellent experience for attendees
Keep communal areas clean, tidy, and well-stocked throughout the day
Set up, tidy and reset meeting rooms before and after use
Welcome and assist members, guests, and visitors in a warm and professional manner
Assist the Host to monitor and manage the day’s schedule, ensuring meetings and events run smoothly
Respond to member queries, resolve issues or escalate when needed
Assist with incoming calls, emails, mail, and deliveries
Handle enquiries about bookings and memberships; conduct site tours for potential members
Complete onboarding for new members from start to finish
Assist with office admin, errands, and general operational support
Help plan and support community events, networking sessions, and socials
Work collaboratively with the wider Operations, Marketing, and Sales teams while reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager on-site

What We're Looking For

Previous experience in customer service, reception, hospitality, or office administration (coworking experience is a plus)
Confident using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar)
Friendly, professional communicator with great interpersonal skills
Organised and proactive with strong multitasking abilities
Positive, solutions-focused mindset with attention to detail
Someone with a flair for sale with a passion for connecting with people and driving bookings from enquiries
Events sales or bookings experience
