We have an exciting opportunity for a Surveyor to join our Commercial Property and Asset Management team based within our Leeds Office. As a surveyor, you will contribute to the growth of the firm’s Commercial Property and Asset Management team and will help to ensure that all our services are effectively communicated to clients, and staff, to maximise cross selling. This will be a varied role and will suit a recently qualified RICS Chartered Surveyor looking to take on a challenging role.

Based in the heart of Leeds, our office comprises 60 colleagues, and you will be joining a small but growing team of dedicated Property Asset Management professionals. Main tasks

Collection of rents and other monies due, including chasing of arrears
Assist with the preparation of service charge budgets and issue of certificates and additional invoices following service charge reconciliation
Assist in gaining vacant possession of properties, liaising with enforcement agents and solicitors
Administration of property insurance including apportionment of premiums, raising and issue of invoices
Maintaining property inspection schedules, arranging annual and other inspections as necessary
Deal with basic rent reviews and lease renewals.
Identify and implementing asset management opportunities
Liaise as appropriate with clients, tenants, and contractors.
Provide accurate, timely client reports.
Maintain a strong working knowledge of L&T Act 1954 and other appropriate legislation
Undertake site visits where necessary to meet contractors and to carry out basic property inspections
Assist with organising repair and maintenance work, including liaising with tenants and contractors, arranging access, and checking that works are completed

You will be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to develop strong working relationships with both colleagues and clients. The ability to manage competing priorities, work effectively under pressure and deliver to deadlines is essential, alongside the confidence to use your own initiative and work independently when required. Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Office applications, is also required. You will be comfortable travelling as part of your role and attending the office on a regular basis.
