Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and personable Bar Staff to join our team at The Black Horse, Braunstone Gate. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service in a lively bar environment. As we will soon be introducing a varied food menu, this role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills and be part of a friendly team. Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided. The position is paid and suitable for individuals who are passionate about delivering outstanding service and creating a welcoming atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Serve beverages and food items efficiently and courteously to customers
Take orders accurately and handle cash or card transactions with precision
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glassware and utensils
Ensure compliance with food safety standards and responsible alcohol service regulations
Engage with guests to create a friendly and inviting environment
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and safety
Assist in setting up and clearing tables and bar areas during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in the role is desirable but not essential
Strong serving skills with excellent customer service abilities
Good understanding of basic maths for handling transactions accurately
Effective time management skills to prioritise tasks during busy periods
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining professionalism
Friendly, approachable demeanour with excellent communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required

Pay: £12.71-£12.80 per hour
