Proposed Interview Date: Week Commencing Monday 22 June 2026

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary: FC3 £25,604.23 to £26,786.83 (pro-rata)

Working Pattern: 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7.30am until 12.30pm, term-time plus last week of school summer holidays

Start Date: Monday 10 August 2026

Location: Madras College, St Andrews

Job Details

We are looking for a highly skilled Clerical Assistant to provide front line clerical support in a Secondary School, acting as the focal point for staff and visitors. The postholder will be responsible for responding to changes in procedures and IT systems and for ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the school office. As a Clerical Assistant, you will work under the direction and supervision of the Headteacher, Business Manager or Admin Coordinator.

Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements

You are required to have a minimum of 4 qualifications at SCQF level 4, including English and Maths (e.g. National 4, Standard Grades at General Level or O grades).

You may be required to obtain a Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Membership or Disclosure Check for this role
