Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled General Maintenance Person to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation and safety of our properties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or supervise a team. The position offers an opportunity to utilise your mechanical, electrical, and supervisory expertise in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance of our properties
Carrying out general maintenance and repairs
Basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry work
Responding promptly to maintenance requests
Ensuring all properties are kept in excellent condition
perform 6 weekly inspections proprties
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues efficiently
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Supervise junior staff or contractors during maintenance tasks when necessary
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Assist in planning maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Support other departments with technical expertise as needed
Clean driving license - you will provided with a fully expensed vehicle to undertake your work.
Current C.R.B approval
37.5 hours per week with occasional paid weekend cover
Pay £25,000 - negotiable

Skills

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Leadership experience with the ability to supervise teams or contractors confidently
Strong customer service skills with a professional approach to internal clients

This position is essential for maintaining operational efficiency across our properties. We value proactive individuals who are committed to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.

Pay: £24,420.00-£25,500.00 per year
