About Us:

PL Taylor Electrical Services Ltd is a respected firm based in Grays, Essex, with over 30 years of experience serving domestic private customers and handling breakdown repairs for national insurance companies. We're proud of our team's commitment to quality, safety, and exceptional customer service.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a Domestic Electrician residing in North London or local surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general electrical maintenance, fault-finding and repair tasks, and replacing consumer units when necessary. The Electrician will start their day from home, serving a geographic area in their location, ensuring adherence to safety practices and using a dedicated phone app to update the client's portal in real time.

Duties:

Perform breakdown repairs to domestic electrical circuits.
Replace consumer units as required and issue the necessary installation certification.
Attend to general breakdowns and repairs to the electrical installations for private domestic customers.
Troubleshoot and repair issues in domestic electrical circuits.
Adhere to quality and safety practices.
Use a dedicated phone app to update the client's portal in real time.
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professional customer interaction.

Requirements:

BS7671 18th Edition certified.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a qualified electrician.
Ability to fault find and repair on domestic electrical circuits.
Full UK driving license.
Clean DBS check (due to the nature of work involving interaction with vulnerable individuals).
Reside in West London.
Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Working Hours:

This role operates on a 4 days on, 2 days off rolling shift pattern, with the possibility of working bank holidays depending on the rota. The work hours are from 7 am to 6 pm. The successful candidate will start and finish each day from home, serving a geographic area in their location, with the aim of being at the customer's house by 8 am and potentially finishing their last job at 6 pm.
