Crew Member – Taka Taka, James Street

Taka Taka is a growing Greek street food restaurant brand bringing the taste of the Mediterranean to the UK. Known for its fresh, flavourful Greek cuisine — including Gyros and Souvlaki Pita Wraps, traditional Greek salads, mixed grills, Halloumi fries, Magic Rolls, and authentic desserts — Taka Taka delivers a vibrant dining experience rooted in quality ingredients and passion for great food.

Job Summary

As a Crew Member at Taka Taka, you will be an essential part of the restaurant team delivering outstanding customer service and helping create memorable experiences. You’ll assist with food preparation, serve customers with a smile, maintain a clean and efficient environment, and support daily operations in a fast-paced, friendly atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver Excellent Customer Service

Greet guests, take orders accurately, and ensure friendly, efficient service at all times.

Food Preparation & Presentation

Prepare menu items to Taka Taka standards including wraps, salads, grills, sides and desserts — ensuring quality, freshness, and presentation are consistently excellent.

Maintain Cleanliness

Keep front-of-house and kitchen areas clean, sanitised, and well-organised throughout shifts.

Point of Sale & Order Handling

Operate the till, process payments, and manage takeaway/delivery order packaging.

Team Support

Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service flow, assist with restocking, and help during busy periods.

Uphold Brand Standards

Represent Taka Taka values by serving authentic, high-quality Greek street food with enthusiasm and pride.

What We’re Looking For

Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a friendly personality
Reliable and punctual with the ability to work flexible hours (including evenings/weekends for part-time roles)
Team player with good communication skills
Customer-focused mindset
Previous hospitality or retail experience is a plus — but not essential as full training is provided
