Phlebotomist – Kings Road, Chelsea – (Job Ref: 26/PBKI)

Randox Health continues to be at the forefront of clinical diagnostics, dedicated to improving health worldwide with our disruptive technology and innovative diagnostic solutions. We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in Kings Road, Chelsea.

Main Location : Randox Health, 346-348 King’s Road, London, SW3 5UR. Successful applicants will work within a dynamic rota model. This means that while rotas will be provided in advance, scheduled shifts may be across different clinic locations within the relevant cluster area, depending on customer demand and operational requirements. This role will cover the following Randox Health Clinics within Cluster 2: Clinics include: Great Portland Street, Kensington, Kings Road, White City and St Pauls.

Contract Offered : Full-time, permanent

Working Hours / Shifts : 40 hours per week, across 5 days. Start and finish times are 6.40am to 3.20pm Tuesday to Friday, 7.40am to 4.20pm on a Saturday and 9.40am to 5.20pm on a Sunday. Rotas are provided in advance on a rolling basis, giving you visibility of your working pattern ahead of time, although rotas are subject to change depending on support needed for cover.

For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage.

In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

What does the Phlebotomist role involve?

This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks.

Essential criteria:

Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
Confident using IT programmes.
Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
Strong communication skills.
Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Desirable:

Experience in a private healthcare setting.
Exeperience in customer service.
2 years experience in Phlebotomy.
Sales / Retail experience.
