Summary

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Secretary to join our dynamic team in Maldon. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations within our firm and enhancing client interactions, offering Secretarial support across various departments where needed, aligning with our commitment to excellence in legal services.

Commercial Property Secretary

Salary: £24,500 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Office-based
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start date: October

We are seeking an organised and proactive Commercial Secretary to join our busy and friendly legal team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced secretary who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing high-quality administrative support.

Key Responsibilities

Providing secretarial and administrative support to Commercial Property fee earners.
Producing correspondence, legal documents and reports from digital audio dictation using Philips SpeechExec.
Preparing correspondence, legal documents and reports using Microsoft Word.
Assisting with spreadsheets and data management using Microsoft Excel.
Using the LEAP legal case management system to open and maintain files, manage documents and support the conveyancing process.
Undertaking Land Registry applications and searches (experience desirable).
Managing files, correspondence and client communications.
Assisting with general office administration.
Providing support to other fee earners when required.
Sharing reception duties with other members of the support team to ensure excellent client service.

About You

The successful candidate will:

Have previous secretarial experience, ideally within a legal environment.
Be competent in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Have experience using Philips SpeechExec digital dictation software or similar.
Experience using the LEAP legal case management system would be an advantage.
Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Be able to prioritise workloads and work effectively as part of a team.
Have excellent communication and client care skills.
Experience with Land Registry procedures would be an advantage but is not essential.
