Full job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an individual to join our team, providing excellent front desk support. The right candidate will be organised, possess good communication skills, and have a friendly demeanour to welcome visitors and members. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly team in a well-established martial arts academy based in Manchester City Centre.

Duties

Welcome and assist visitors and members with a professional and friendly approach.
Ensure that members check in on entry upon arriving at the gym.
Address inquiries related to the gym. Guide potential members on how to book a trial class or sign up for a membership.
Process payments for drop-in classes, membership fees, and gym merchandise using a card machine or cash.
Complete daily reception and facility checklists to help keep the gym clean, organised and welcoming, including removing empty water bottles, restocking toilet rolls and paper hand towels when required.
Answer phone calls and emails.
Respond to enquiries.
Maintain a tidy reception area.
Assist coaches with basic administration.

Skills

Proficient in computer usage
Strong communication skills
Previous experience in a receptionist, hospitality or customer service role is required.
Well-presented and professional in appearance
Full training will be given where applicable
An interest in fitness or martial arts would be an advantage but is not essential.

Hours

Sunday Mornings 9:30am – 1pm - Main hours

Also available to work weekday evenings (4.30pm-7.30pm) and Saturday Mornings (9:30am – 1pm) shifts when needed.
