Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator for an immediate start on a construction HMO project for the next 3 weeks. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of preparation and painting to a variety of internal surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and attention to detail. This is a self employed temporary role. Further ongoing projects may be available for the right person.

Responsibilities

Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and masking to ensure a smooth finish.
Applying paints and other finishes using brushes and rollers.
Working in a clean, tidy manner and ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Managing time effectively to complete projects within designated deadlines.
Communicating with clients and team members regarding project progress and any issues encountered.
Maintaining tools and equipment in good condition for optimal performance.

Requirements

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Good command of English language for clear communication with clients and team members.
Strong communication skills to understand project specifications and liaise effectively with colleagues.
Attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights.
Must be CIS registered.
A recognised qualification or apprenticeship in painting and decorating is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
