Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and attentive Receptionist at Wennington Hall.

The Wennington Hall team provide superb service to our guests, a warm and friendly atmosphere and effortless attention to detail.

James Places is a dynamic and vibrant growing company with uniquely different venues across the Ribble Valley and beyond; with The Royal Hotel, The Shireburn Arms, The Emporium, Eaves Hall, Mitton Hall, The Waddington Arms, Holmes Mill, Falcon Manor and Assheton Arms.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a business that is part of James’ Places, an exquisite collection of hotels, inns and wedding venues.

First impressions count and you’ll be presentable, with excellent customer service skills and set the warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

Your work hours will typically fall between 8am and 4pm or 9am and 5pm, depending on business needs, with weekend shifts included but not required every weekend.

As receptionist, you'll..

Co-ordinate reservations for rooms and the restaurant, welcome guests on arrival and wish them well upon departure.
Be able to assist guests in a friendly, confident and professional manner, spotting opportunities to upsell products effortlessly.
Work hard to make sure our guests have a fantastic experience at Mitton Hall
Be welcoming guests on arrival, ensuring they have everything they need during their stay and wish them well upon departure.
Be required to assist guests in a friendly, confident and professional manner over the phone, email and in person.
Ensure the guests have a fantastic experience from the first interaction to the last
You will be the first point of contact for our guests
First impressions count and you will be the first person to set the warm and welcoming atmosphere
help guests with bags to their rooms

Also..

Be a seasoned pro in the hospitality industry with a strong customer orientation and understanding of service delivery
Have mastered the ins and outs of exceptional guest service
Strong project management and personal organisational skills with the ability to balance a number responsibilities
Ensure corporate and hospitality group policies and procedures are followed..
To be confident in up selling and making recommendations through strong product knowledge and maximising sales opportunities
