Are you a friendly, enthusiastic, and organised individual looking for a rewarding role in a busy and supportive GP surgery? Malthouse Surgery, a friendly and patient-focused practice with over 15,000 patients, is seeking a motivated Medical Receptionist. This is a fantastic opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position for the right candidate!

About Us:

At Malthouse Surgery, we pride ourselves on our strong team ethic and commitment to providing excellent patient care. We are a busy but supportive practice, utilising the EMIS Web clinical system. We believe in creating a positive and collaborative work environment where everyone feels valued.

About the Role:

As a Medical Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing a welcoming and efficient service. Your key responsibilities will include:

Answering telephone calls and managing appointments.
Greeting patients.
Using the EMIS Web clinical system.
Handling patient enquiries and requests.
Maintaining patient records.
General administrative duties.

About You:

We are looking for someone who:

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Is a team player with a positive attitude.
Is organised and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
Has experience of working in a busy environment.
Is computer literate and ideally has experience with EMIS Web (although training will be provided).
Is empathetic and understands the importance of patient confidentiality.
