Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team, responsible for enhancing the appearance and protection of various surfaces within residential, commercial, and industrial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality projects while developing your expertise within the construction painting industry.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care to achieve desired aesthetic results.
Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and scaffolding equipment safely and effectively.
Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project specifications and deliver satisfactory outcomes.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment by disposing of waste materials responsibly and ensuring tools are stored correctly.
Follow health and safety regulations at all times to minimise risks during painting and decorating tasks.
Assist with colour matching and selecting appropriate materials for different surfaces and environments.

Skills

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is highly desirable.
Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
Excellent communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
Good physical fitness with the capacity to work at heights using scaffolding or ladders safely.
Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating roles is essential. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for dedicated professionals eager to showcase their skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to quality projects across various settings.
