Paint Sprayer and Finisher

About Us

Rothdean Limited is a well-established commercial vehicle, HGV and trailer manufacturer specializing in the servicing, repair, refurbishment, and preparation of commercial vehicles and trailers. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Paint Sprayer and Finisher to join our workshop team and help maintain the high standards of finish our customers expect.

The Role

As a Paint Sprayer and Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing commercial vehicles, HGV trailers, and associated components. You will ensure all work is completed to a high standard, producing durable, high-quality finishes while working safely and efficiently within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare vehicle and trailer panels for painting, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
Mix paints and coatings to the correct specifications.
Apply paint using spray equipment to achieve a finish within company expectations.
Carry out refinishing work on commercial vehicles, trailers, and individual components.
Inspect completed work to ensure colour matching and finish meet company quality standards.
Rectify minor paint defects through polishing, flattening, and finishing techniques.
Maintain spraying area, equipment, and tools in a clean and serviceable condition.
Follow all health and safety procedures, including the safe handling and storage of paints and hazardous materials.
Work closely with workshop colleagues to ensure jobs are completed on time and to customer expectations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Paint Sprayer, Vehicle Refinisher, or similar role.
Knowledge of vehicle preparation, paint application, and finishing techniques.
Good understanding of paint mixing and colour matching.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic with a commitment to quality and safety.

Desirable

Experience working on commercial vehicles, HGVs, trailers, or industrial equipment.
Relevant qualifications in vehicle refinishing or paint spraying.
Full UK driving licence.
