Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Level 3 Childcare Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while working in a supportive and professional setting. Prior experience in childcare or education is preferred, along with a genuine passion for working with children. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to fostering a caring atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor children's activities to ensure safety and engagement
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities, games, and educational exercises
Assist children with daily routines such as meals, naps, and hygiene needs
Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for children
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and behaviour
Support children's emotional well-being by providing encouragement and positive reinforcement
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including safeguarding policies
Observe and record behavioural or developmental milestones as required

Requirements

Prior experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is desirable
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with children and parents
Patience, empathy, and a caring attitude towards children's needs
Ability to organise activities that promote learning and development
Basic knowledge of child safeguarding policies and procedures
Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Childcare qualifications are advantageous but not essential
Must be able to work flexible hours between 7am-6pm including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as required
A valid DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is essential
