Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing a variety of machinery and equipment to ensure optimal operational performance. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for technical work and problem-solving, committed to maintaining safety standards and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment
Diagnose faults accurately using diagnostic tools and techniques
Repair or replace faulty components, ensuring minimal downtime
Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs undertaken
Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery
Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex issues effectively
Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times

Skills

Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams accurately
Excellent problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to diagnostics and repairs
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team under pressure
Relevant qualifications or certifications in mechanical engineering or related fields are preferred
Valid driver’s licence is advantageous
