Full job description

Overview:

We're seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior Sous Chef. You'll be part of the management team during service and will run 117 when our Head Chef is on days off.

The role is 42 hours per week, including two evenings and weekends. Ask any of our chefs and they'll tell you there's no other kitchen like ours — we stay positive, take pride in what we do, and have built a genuine feel-good environment we're all proud of.

Duties

Running the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence
Ensuring the kitchen operates effectively across all sections
Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
Adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Taking great pride in the cleanliness and management of the kitchen — we hold a 5-star food hygiene rating and intend to maintain it here at 117

Qualifications

Recent experience in a Sous or Senior Sous role is essential
Sound knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A willingness to learn and a positive attitude
