About Us

Polhill Garden Centre is a long-established, family-owned business with over 60 years of experience creating an enjoyable and inspiring shopping experience for our customers. Our team works together in a friendly, supportive environment, and we pride ourselves on excellent service across all departments.

Our Retail Operations team plays a vital role in ensuring our shelves, displays and sales areas remain fully stocked, well-presented and ready for customers. We are now looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Warehouse Replenishment Assistant to join our team.

The Role

As a Warehouse Replenishment Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining stock availability across all departments by ensuring products are replenished efficiently from the warehouse to the shop floor. This is a hands-on and physical role in a fast-paced retail environment where organisation, attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

You will work closely with Warehouse, Goods In and Retail teams to ensure customers always find a well-stocked, clean and attractive shopping environment.

Key Responsibilities

Replenishment & Stock Management

Replenish stock from the warehouse and back-of-house storage areas to the shop floor.
Ensure shelves, displays and promotional areas remain fully stocked throughout the day.
Rotate stock where required and maintain accurate product presentation standards.
Identify low stock levels and communicate replenishment requirements to supervisors.
Assist with stock transfers between departments.
Support stock counts and inventory checks as required.
Ensure products are displayed correctly and priced accurately.

Warehouse & Retail Support

Move stock safely using pump trucks, cages and other approved equipment.
Assist with unloading deliveries during busy periods.
Organise stock in warehouse and storage areas to maximise efficiency.
Support seasonal department changes, display builds and promotional launches.
Assist colleagues across departments as business needs require.

Standards & Safety

Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment in both warehouse and retail areas.
Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures.
Handle products carefully to minimise damage and waste.
Report any damaged, missing or unsafe stock immediately.
Support recycling and waste management procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

Experienced in retail, warehouse or replenishment work (preferred but not essential).
Organised, reliable and able to work efficiently under pressure.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks.
A strong team player with a positive attitude.
Able to work independently and use initiative.
Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities throughout the day.
Committed to delivering high standards of presentation and customer service.

Hours of Work

Typical hours will be scheduled across Monday – Friday, 6am - 2:30pm

Due to the nature of the role, early morning starts, weekend working and additional hours during peak trading periods may be required to support replenishment activities and seasonal demands.
