Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Labourer to join our team, specialising in landscape maintenance, construction, and general site upkeep. The successful candidate will be involved in a variety of physical tasks, supporting ongoing projects and ensuring the smooth operation of our outdoor and construction sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in horticulture, gardening, and maintenance work to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. All positions are paid, including internships.

Duties

Assisting with landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning, grass cutting, and general garden care
Operating hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment such as excavators and irrigation systems under supervision
Supporting construction activities including site clearance, material movement, and basic assembly work
Performing routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency
Digging trenches, laying foundations, or preparing sites for development projects
Assisting with the installation and upkeep of irrigation systems
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment to promote safety standards
Supporting team members with various labouring tasks as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in landscape maintenance, gardening or horticulture is advantageous but not essential
Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with power tools and construction equipment is desirable
Experience with excavators or irrigation systems is a plus
Ability to operate hand tools safely and effectively
Basic understanding of site safety procedures and maintenance practices
Physical fitness to undertake manual labour including lifting, digging, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow instructions accurately
A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills in construction and maintenance fields

This role is ideal for motivated individuals seeking practical experience in landscaping, construction, or horticulture. Applicants should be prepared for physically demanding work in outdoor environments while adhering to health and safety regulations.

Pay: £12.21-£21.61 per hour
