Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Operative and become a vital part of our fast-paced logistics operation! In this role, you'll be actively involved in handling materials, managing stock, and ensuring smooth shipping and receiving processes. Your energy and attention to detail will help us maintain high standards of efficiency, safety, and quality. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in warehouse management and contribute to a thriving supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

Safely handle materials through picking, packing, stocking, and organizing inventory within the warehouse.
Operate forklifts and other mechanical equipment to load, unload, and move heavy items efficiently.
Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order processing.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy and condition.
Maintain a clean, organized workspace by properly storing items and adhering to safety protocols for heavy lifting and mechanical operation.
Support stock replenishment efforts by stocking shelves accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

Proven experience working in a warehouse environment or similar logistics setting.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and repeatedly throughout the shift.
Mechanical knowledge or experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is highly desirable; certification is a plus.
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
Strong understanding of materials handling, shipping & receiving procedures, and quality control processes.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow safety guidelines rigorously.
Good physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, load, unload, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.
