Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a friendly and dedicated Barista to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering excellent customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffees and shakes while maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring a smooth operation during busy periods. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in drinks preparation, customer service, and time management within a dynamic environment. You should be super friendly, outgoing, and love interacting with people. A passion for fitness is a big plus since this is a gym environment, and we're looking for someone who can bring positive energy to our members every day.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all stages of beverage preparation and service.
Assist customers with menu selections, answer questions about ingredients or dietary options, and provide excellent customer service.
Keep work areas clean, organised, and well-stocked with supplies such as cups, lids, syrups, and other ingredients.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe environment for colleagues and customers.
Support preparation tasks as needed and on top of stock lists.
Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.

Experience

Previous barista experience is essential; training will be provided for those new to the role.
Knowledge of food safety standards is advantageous.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment helps in delivering exceptional service.
Strong time management skills are essential to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours.
Good basic upselling skills and friendly customer service is essential for this role.

Pay: £12.71-£13.00 per hour
