Full job description

Part-Time Shop Assistant – North Shields

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and enthusiastic Part-Time Shop Assistant to join our busy laundry and dry cleaning shop in North Shields.

This is a hands-on role where you'll provide excellent customer service while helping with the day-to-day running of the shop.

Duties include:

Serving customers and operating the till.
Receiving and returning garments.
Answering telephone enquiries.
Loading and unloading washing machines and dryers.
Ironing and finishing garments.
Keeping the shop clean, tidy and organised.

What we're looking for:

Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Reliable, organised and flexible.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to work well as part of a team.

Previous experience in laundry, dry cleaning, ironing, or retail is an advantage, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.

Job Type: Part-time (16 hours per week)

Salary: National Minimum Wage

Work Location: In person – North Shields

Pay: £12.71 per hour
