Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy hospitality team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team to deliver excellent service. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in a professional kitchen setting, ideal for individuals interested in developing their skills in food preparation, cooking, and hospitality.

Duties

Washing and sanitising dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils efficiently and thoroughly
Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
Keeping the kitchen clean and organised, including work surfaces, floors, and storage areas
Supporting the culinary team during service periods by ensuring all necessary equipment is ready and available
Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with health and safety standards
Restocking supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Adhering to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, or culinary practices is desirable
Experience working in a fast-paced environment such as a restaurant or hotel will be beneficial
Familiarity with health and safety standards within a kitchen setting is preferred but not mandatory
