Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in management roles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, support team development, and contribute to the overall success of our organisation. The Assistant Manager will play a key role in driving sales, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining standards.

Duties

Support the Store Manager in overseeing daily business operations, ensuring smooth functioning across all departments.
Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment that encourages high performance and professional growth.
Assist with staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations to optimise team productivity.
Manage sales targets by implementing effective sales strategies and monitoring progress regularly.
Ensure high standards of customer service by addressing customer queries promptly and professionally.
Oversee merchandising activities to maintain visual appeal and stock organisation in line with brand guidelines.
Handle administrative tasks such as stock control, reporting, and maintaining accurate records.
Lead by example in demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and organisational skills during customer interactions and internal communications.
Collaborate with management on marketing initiatives, promotional activities, and store presentation enhancements.
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies at all times.

Skills

Proven management experience with supervising teams within retail or similar environments.
Strong leadership qualities combined with excellent organisational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written; multilingual or bilingual abilities are advantageous.
Demonstrated ability in sales management, merchandising, and administrative responsibilities.
Experience in retail management or related fields such as sales management is preferred.
Ability to motivate teams, manage conflicts constructively, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Excellent phone etiquette coupled with organisational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity for clear communication across diverse audiences.
