Job Description

Powered By CAN are looking for a creative and passionate Senior Service Coordinator to join our successful play, physical activity and public health service. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver high-quality extra-curricular sessions within both local community and educational settings. We are seeking an individual with a firm grasp of sector strategy, exceptional relationship management skills, and the commercial acumen necessary to support our goals for sustainable growth and high-impact delivery.

Experience

To represent the organisation with local and regional networks of supporters and stakeholders.
To support and motivate the team to drive performance.
To participate in regular team meetings and supervision meetings.
Attend ideas meetings and contribute to discussions about the future of PbC.
To identify personal development and training opportunities for self and team & disseminate CDP & training opportunities to PbC staff.
To contribute ideas that may support the ongoing development of the organisation.
To contribute to the programming and administration of bespoke commissioned services.
To ensure confidentiality within the organisation at all times.
To participate in activities which fall outside of normal working hours as required, e.g. Training, Staff Meetings, Recruitment/Engagement events, fundraising events, etc.
To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by SLT.

Essential Skills

A minimum of 2-3 years of management/coordination or team leading experience.
A minimum of 2-3 years of coordinating/managing the delivering play, physical activity or public health services.
Hold a relevant play, physical activity or public health qualification, or be willing to work towards one.
A recognised qualification at level 3 above specific to the role (or willing to work towards).
A keen and active interest in the vision and purpose of PbC and a knowledge of the culture, creative, education and youth sectors.
Working knowledge of the Black Country and surrounding areas (including knowledge of marginalised communities).
Understanding of the importance of Health & Safety in the workplace.
Completion of Safeguarding Awareness/Child Protection course.
Health & Safety and First Aidcertificate.
Ability to work towards targets and specific Key performance indicators.
Ability to use data management systems.
To respond to new challenges with agility and a proactive approach with an understanding of equal opportunities and cultural diversity issues in the delivery of our services.
To work effectively independently and collaborate on a daily basis.
Working knowledge of relevant software packages (Microsoft Office Suite, Google).

32 Hours Per Week
Duration of Contract: 31st March 2029
Deadline: 13th July 2026 (12pm)

Pay: £21,149.44-£22,749.44 per year
