Full job description

Overview

Join our dynamic security team as a Security Officer and become the frontline protector of our facilities, assets, and personnel. In this vital role, you will ensure a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, preventing loss, and responding swiftly to incidents. Your proactive approach and keen observation skills will help maintain operational integrity and promote a sense of safety for everyone on-site. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your security expertise while making a meaningful impact every day.

Duties:

Perform regular patrols of the facility, including entrances, exits, and restricted areas, to deter theft and unauthorized access.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when necessary.
Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, coordinating with emergency services as required.
Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and surveillance footage for reporting purposes.
Assist visitors, employees, and contractors by verifying identities and guiding them through security procedures.
Provide first aid assistance in case of medical emergencies until professional help arrives.

Qualifications

Proven experience in security or surveillance roles is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
Strong observational skills with the ability to detect unusual or suspicious activity quickly.
Ability to perform first aid procedures confidently and calmly in emergency situations.
Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and visitors.
Ability to stand, walk, or remain alert for extended periods during shifts.
Valid certification in security practices or relevant licenses as required by local regulations is a plus.
