About Us
The Capital Hotel Knightsbridge is a luxury 5-star boutique collection in the heart of Knightsbridge, just moments from Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Renowned for delivering authentic British hospitality, The Capital has long been recognised for excellence, including awards for both Best Hotel and Best Customer Service by the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea.

We are now entering an exciting new chapter, having been awarded a Michelin Star in February 2026 under the leadership of celebrated seafood chef Tom Brown, who has returned to The Capital following the success of his own Michelin-starred restaurant, Cornerstone.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a passionate and driven Commis Chef to join our Michelin-starred kitchen team. This is a rare opportunity to work alongside Chef Tom Brown and be part of a dynamic, high-performing brigade focused on precision, creativity, and exceptional quality.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and presentation of dishes to Michelin-star standards
Maintain the highest levels of cleanliness, organisation, and food safety
Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations
Ensure ingredients are prepared, stored, and handled correctly
Contribute to maintaining consistency and excellence in every dish
Work collaboratively within the team to deliver a seamless service

About You

Previous experience in a high-quality kitchen (Michelin or equivalent desirable)
A genuine passion for food, particularly seafood, and a desire to learn
Strong work ethic with attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Positive attitude and willingness to develop your culinary skills
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends
