Full job description

Overview

A dynamic, positive & efficient team player is required to join the Woody's Restaurant team, five days per week, including one day at the weekend. The successful candidate will take a hands-on approach to overseeing the daily running of the restaurant operation and assist the manager, as part of the Woody's management team. Excellent customer service skills and previous supervisory/management experience in a catering environment are essential.

Responsibilities and Duties

Responsibility for till operations
Overseeing daily duties and delegating appropriately across the team
Staff training and development
Customer care
Maintaining and improving our high standards
Overseeing front of house and kitchen operations
Serving customers, making coffees/hot drinks, serving food, clearing tables, general cleaning duties
Team performance management
Proactively managing health and safety across the department
Assisting the Restaurant Manager in administrational duties
Ensuring high standards of health and hygiene are maintained
Recruitment
Stock control
Liaising with senior management
Keyholding duties

Qualifications and Skills

Level 2 or above food hygiene qualification desirable
Good English and Maths skills
Experience in a catering environment
Experience in a supervisory role or above
Computer literate
Professional demeanour
Calm under pressure
Adaptable
Flexible
