Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painting and Decorating professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to various surfaces, ensuring high-quality results that meet client specifications. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects within the construction and renovation sectors, contributing to transforming spaces with colour and style. A valid driving licence and good communication skills are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling holes, and applying primer as necessary before painting or decorating.
Apply paint, varnish, wallpaper, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools.
Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of quality and within specified timeframes.
Collaborate with clients and team members to understand project requirements and preferences.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including the safe handling and disposal of materials.
Assist with the planning and execution of decorating projects from start to finish.
Conduct minor repairs or surface preparation tasks as needed prior to decoration work.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or decorating is preferred.
Good communication skills in English to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
Valid driving licence is desirable for travelling between sites.
Strong attention to detail with an organised approach to work tasks.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
