Full job description

Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist, where your energetic and organized approach will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors. In this vital role, you will manage front desk operations, coordinate appointments, and ensure a smooth flow of daily activities within the medical practice. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that fosters patient trust and satisfaction. An exciting opportunity to develop your administrative skills while making a meaningful difference in patient care.

The job entails of part time hours within the opening hours of 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday.

Hours per week , 25 (TBC)

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued from the moment they arrive
Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments efficiently using our practice management software
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, providing accurate information or directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member
Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and update medical records accurately
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, and mail
Maintain a clean, organized reception area that reflects professionalism and hospitality
Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and inventory management of office supplies

Requirements

Prior administrative experience in a healthcare or medical setting is preferred
Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Proficiency with office software such as Microsoft Office Suite or equivalent programs
Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and discretion
