Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a <PERSON>. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills within a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in food preparation, ensuring food safety standards are met, and supporting the overall operation of our kitchen. This position is suitable for someone passionate about cooking and eager to gain valuable restaurant experience.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, adhering to established recipes and standards
Support the kitchen team with meal assembly and presentation
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
Ensure all food handling complies with hygiene standards
Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage
Support serving staff during busy periods by preparing ingredients or dishes as needed
Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
Contribute to maintaining a welcoming and efficient kitchen atmosphere

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or a related role is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service times
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends if necessary
Passion for culinary arts and eagerness to learn new skills
