Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON> to join our construction team. This role involves working on various building projects, requiring a strong foundation in masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the construction, repair, and maintenance of structures, ensuring high standards of safety and quality throughout all tasks. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about craftsmanship and construction work to develop their skills within a professional environment.

Responsibilities

Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out masonry, carpentry, roofing, and welding tasks.
Lay bricks and blocks with precision to meet project specifications.
Construct and repair structures using appropriate materials and techniques.
Assist with the installation of roofing systems, ensuring durability and weather resistance.
Perform welding operations to join metal components securely.
Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards.
Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, reporting any faults or damages promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience in masonry, carpentry, roofing, welding or related construction trades is preferred.
Proficiency with hand tools and power tools essential for the role.
Knowledge of bricklaying techniques and masonry principles.
Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant certifications or training in construction trades are advantageous but not mandatory. This role offers an engaging work environment where craftsmanship is valued, providing opportunities for skill development across multiple disciplines within the construction industry.
