Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional paert-time Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Hours of work are between 8.00am to 6.30pm. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical facility and requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations efficiently.
Handle patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting necessary information and documentation.
Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with data protection regulations.
Assist with billing procedures and insurance verification as needed.
Coordinate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient flow within the clinic.
Perform general office duties such as filing, faxing, and maintaining office supplies.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a GP practice is essential.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using office software and medical management systems is advantageous.
A compassionate approach towards patient care and a commitment to maintaining professionalism at all times.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
