Full job description

Early Years Practitioner | Peterborough (PE2 8FF)
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week across 4 days
Pay: £12.71 – £13.00 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)

Are you committed to giving children the best possible start in life? We’re looking for a motivated and nurturing Early Years Practitioner to join our supportive nursery team in Peterborough.

Our nursery provides a warm and engaging environment where children are encouraged to explore, learn, and build confidence at their own pace. If you’re enthusiastic about early years education and enjoy working as part of a team, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating setting for children
Planning and delivering activities in line with the EYFS and children’s interests
Acting as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families
Supporting team members and contributing to a positive team culture
Observing and tracking children’s development to support future planning
Working closely with senior staff to maintain high-quality standards
Following all safeguarding, health, and safety guidelines

What We’re Looking For:

Level 2 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (e.g. CACHE, NVQ)
At least 2 years’ experience in a nursery or early years setting
Good understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding practices
A caring and patient approach with strong teamwork and communication skills
DBS, Paediatric First Aid, and Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete)
