Full job description

Are you a pensions expert who enjoys getting stuck into complex cases and making things genuinely work better? Ready to take ownership of your specialism while supporting people who have dedicated years of service?

Join a fast-growing, UK-wide team supporting the Metropolitan Police Service, where there is real pace, change and opportunity to shape how things are done. This is a fully remote role with occasional travel required to our London, Newport or Newcastle offices for meetings, training or business requirements.

What you'll be doing:

Handling complex pension queries and delivering accurate, compliant casework within agreed timescales.
Completing and quality-checking pension and payroll calculations to ensure high levels of accuracy and compliance.
Acting as a technical specialist, providing guidance, support and training to colleagues.
Analysing, maintaining and reporting on pension data to support effective decision-making and data quality.
Supporting project delivery through close collaboration with pension, payroll and client stakeholders.
Providing technical updates, insights and recommendations to a range of stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

Experience in pension administration.
Ability to perform complex pension calculations accurately.
Strong understanding of pension legislation and its practical application.
Ability to explain complex technical information to non-specialists.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

It would be great if you had:

Knowledge of Police Pension Schemes or Civil Service Pension Schemes.
Previous payroll experience.
A professional pension or payroll qualification.
Understanding of the flow of transactions within an integrated HR and payroll system.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent.

Location: Remote, UK-wide with occasional travel to London, Newport or Newcastle.

Security Clearance Level: NPPV2.

Salary: up to £34,000.
